My Anglophile is showing . . .

No Such Thing as a Fish

Four brilliantly funny folks gather around their microphones with their favorite facts of the week. I have cried laughing.

The Infinite Monkey Cage

Discovered this podcast a few weeks ago and found, much to my delight, 26 series await. Physicist Bryan Cox and comedian Robin Ince explore a new subject in each episode—everything from why wine tastes good to the night skies of Australia to how to commit the perfect murder—with a panel of subject matter experts.

Q.I.

This is what’s on the television just before we fall asleep. Four brilliantly funny folks answer questions about a particular topic chosen based on the letter of the alphabet to which a given series is dedicated (starting, appropriately, with A; we’re now at T). Series A through M were hosted by Stephen Fry, Sandi Toksvig picked up the host’s mantle at N, and Alan Davies has been along for every episode. Anytime I’m asked the “if you could invite four people to dinner” question, every seat at the table is filled by a panelist from this show.
